God Of War was one of many heavy hitters this year. A huge amount of risk was taken by Sony Santa Monica to create this game. Rebuilding what God of War was from the ground up, while still maintaining enough of the original to keep longtime fans excited. With a one of a kind story, character development that many movies cannot accomplish God of War officially took home the Game of The Year award. Considering the fierce competition this year with games like Marvel’s Spider-Man, and of course Red Dead Redemption 2. It speaks for volumes for how far God of War has come since its humble beginnings back in 2005. A massive congratulations to Cory Barlog and Sony Santa Monica on their massive win, we cannot wait to see what they do next.
