God Of War is the kind of game that very easily could have used a fantastic DLC. Another dive into the world so beautifully created by Cory Barlog, and won 2018 Game Of The Year at the Game Awards 2018. As reported by GameInformer, Cory Barlog sat down with Greg Miller and Tim Gettys on Kinda Funny Games to talk about God Of War. When asked about a potential God of War DLC plan Cory Barlog stated:
“I had a really fun idea for a DLC that I only regret because I would love to have done that, but it was too ambitious.”
The team wanted to take after InFamous: Second Son’s first DLC and Uncharted: Lost Legacy in the way the DLC would shape. Basically, a standalone campaign to continue your adventure in the game. Unfortunately, it seems like the scope was much larger than anticipated and therefore caused the cancellation of the DLC. This is unfortunate, simply for the fact that many fans are eagerly awaiting a reason to step back into Kratos’ shoes. Knowing their focus is set purely for the future of the franchise though is exciting. You can check out the whole interview right here!
