Recently, Disney announced The Mandalorian, a show set in between Star Wars Episode 6 and Episode 7. While production progress is still early, we’re beginning to get an idea of the cast. According to sources at The Hollywood Reporter, both Gina Carano and Pedro Pascal have joined the cast of The Mandalorian.
Gina Carano is an MMA fighter and an actress, who has been in such films as Fast and Furious 6 and Deadpool. Pedro Pascal is an actor, well-known for roles like Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones.
The Mandalorian is being written and produced by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels) directing the first episode and directors such as Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) directing other episodes in the series. The series will air on Disney’s upcoming livestreaming service, Disney+.
