Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Makes the Jump to Switch

The 2012 Kickstarter success, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is making its way to the Nintendo Switch at the end of the month. This game is an installment in the Giana Sisters series. The original game in the lineup debuted on the Amiga and various other computers in 1987 as an alternative to Super Mario Bros. Although Nintendo supposedly filed a lawsuit back in the day to remove copies from store shelves, the year of 2009 saw the release of Giana Sisters DS. Being that this was on the Nintendo DS, it marked a surprise return to the public and a renewed relationship with Nintendo. Twisted Dreams previously released for the Wii U alongside other platforms in 2013 as well.

The Switch release, fully titled Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Owltimate Edition, will contain the Rise of the Owlverlord DLC along with five new levels and story cutscenes. New tracks from German composer Chris Huelsbeck and the Swedish band Machinae Supremacy will accompany the aforementioned content. THQ Nordic will be publishing the game and it will release physically and digitally on the system for the price of $29.99 by September 25th. It’ll certainly be nice to get to play this 2.5D platformer on the go via the Switch’s portability.
