While Xbox Live Gold subscribers are busy finishing up those Star Wars titles from last month, the newest batch of Games with Gold titles have been announced. Four more titles and something extra will grace your gaming backlog in June. Let’s get to it, shall we?
SpeedRunners
The name of the game says it all. SpeedRunners is a 2D platformer which tasks you with a single goal – do whatever it takes to race through each level before your opponents do. You have a number of devious tricks up your sleeve to impede the competition but be careful. They are going to use their own abilities to knock you back to last place. SpeedRunners offers both local and online multiplayer action so you’ll never be without someone to mock as you leave them in the dust. This game will be available from June 1st to June 30th.
Watch_Dogs
If there is no obvious solution to a problem, hack it! Watch_Dogs is an open-world third person action game which places you in the role of a skilled hacker. Using your smartphone you can hack into the city’s unified operating system which gives you plenty of opportunities to reach your goals. Try hacking the traffic lights to cause a massive car accident or crack into the bank and add money to your bank account. There’s a wide array of missions offering different types of gameplay including stealth and parkour segments. This game will be available from June 16th to July 15th.
Phantom Dust Multiplayer DLC
Hopefully you’ve had a chance to try out Phantom Dust by now. It’s free, after all. On June 1st you’ll be able to pick up a bit of DLC that adds a multiplayer DLC pack to the game. This DLC will cost $14.99 on its own so be sure to pick it up for free in June.
Assassin’s Creed III
Xbox Live subscribers are no strangers to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Plenty of games from that series have made their way to Games with Gold and June is no exception. Take on the role of Desmond Miles as he experiences the memories of his ancestors in order to prevent a disaster in the present. Assassin’s Creed III will be available from June 1st to June 15th.
Dragon Age: Origins
In June you’ll run, you’ll hack and you’ll relive the exploits of past assassins. Why not end the month with a classic fantasy RPG? Assume the role of a warrior, mage or rogue and one of three races and enjoy a fantasy world inspired by works such as The Lord of the Rings. will you be able to save your world from the menace known as the Blight?
As usual, all of these Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One thanks to the backwards compatibility feature.
