HBO’s Game of Thrones has had a major win at the Emmys this year taking home an astonishing 12 awards, setting a new record for wins by any one series. As well as a host of technical awards Game of Thrones also brought home Best Writing and Best Directing for the episode Mother’s Mercy.
This year also marks the first time Game of Thrones has taken home the coveted Outstanding Drama Series over the heads of other programs such as Better Call Saul and Mad Men. Season 5 of the show, based off of George R. R.
