Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist Movie is Coming to Netflix

It seems Netflix is going to keep giving fans live action versions of their favorite anime shows and films. The Fullmetal Alchemist live action film has been listed to debut on Netflix February 19th. This comes from a list that Netflix released detailing the various movies and series that will be released for the month of February.

The film will debut under Netflix original title just like Death Note. The film launched in Japan last year topping the box offices during Dec 2nd-3rd, grossing over 373,330,500 yen which equates to 3.1 million U.S dollars. Take a look at the trailer for the film below.

If you haven’t heard of Fullmetal Alchemist here is a brief description: “The Disregard for alchemy’s laws has ripped half of Edward Elric’s limbs from his body and left his little brother Al’s soul clinging to a suit of armor. In order to restore what was lost, the brothers must now seek the Philosopher’s Stone. Unfortunately, enemies and allies in a corrupt military establishment, along with the Homunculi, and foreign alchemists – will undountedly alter the Elric’s brothers course, however their purpose will remain unchanged and their bond unbreakable.”

If your interested in checking out the anime before the live action movie comes out, please visit Crunchyroll or Netflix.
