Disney continues to dominate the box office this year. Frozen II has grossed an estimated $34.6 million this weekend. The movie is closing in on the billion-dollar mark as it sits at $919 million worldwide.
Knives Out came in second as it grossed an estimated $14.1 million. That movie is currently sitting at $124 million worldwide. Don’t expect that movie to gross more than that. With movies like Jumanji: The Next Level coming out next week, the top three will shake up pretty well. Joker added $1,040,000 this week as the movie is close to coming home. Disney has currently crushed its own box office record. With the help of movies like Frozen II, Aladdin, and Avengers: Endgame the studio has grossed over $10 billion worldwide. The old record of $7.6 billion was set back in 2016.
