The Nintendo Switch continues to add great to its ever-expanding library. Recently the entertainment site Variety has confirmed that Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition is coming from developer Gun Media. The game should be coming to players this Spring. This edition will feature every little piece of DLC that was released for the other versions of the game. Daniel Nixon, the Director of Communications at Gun Media had this to say to Variety about the upcoming release to the Switch.
“We’re happy to be bringing ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ to the Nintendo Switch with the help of our partners at Black Tower and Nighthawk. The Nintendo Switch offers a unique experience, in both social settings and on the go, that we feel work very well with ‘Friday the 13th: The Game.”
Right now we only have a Spring 2019 release window. For those of you hoping for new content that won’t be happening anytime soon. A lawsuit is still going that has basically taken the ability for Gun Media to add any new content to the Friday the 13th: The Game. Until this lawsuit is resolved the developer can only maintain the game and bring it to new consoles.
Players can actually go right now and purchase Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle as they wait for more Jason Voorhees to arrive on the console. This is that game that features the small cuddly version of everyones favorite killer with puzzles. Another horror title will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch, Dead by Daylight also has the same 4 vs 1 set up and features some famous Horror movie killers. I think that it is safe to say players should be picking up that Nintendo Switch.
