During QuakeCon 2018, Todd Howard revealed that Escalation Studios had become Bethesda Game Studios Dallas. He also revealed that Bethesda Game Studios Dallas was supporting the rest of Bethesda Game Studios on Fallout 76. Additionally, Bethesda Game Studios Dallas will be working on Starfield, a new IP from Bethesda Game Studios.
Escalation Studios was previously a support team, purchased Zenimax Media (the parent company of Bethesda Softworks) in February 2017. They helped with the development of games from other Zenimax owned-studios, such as iD Software’s Rage and Doom.
This news comes on top of BattleCry Studios being rebranded as Bethesda Game Studios Austin earlier this year. With a roadmap of Fallout 76, Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI revealed at E3 2018, it looks like Bethesda Game Studios is going to continue expanding and growing for bigger games over the next few years.
