It looks like the creators behind Fortnite are looking to increase their talent pool because today Psyonix announced they are joining the Epic Games team.
According to Psyonix, there will be no immediate changes in regards to content for Rocket league. As for any long term potential changes, the studio claims they will be bringing Rocket League to the Epic Games Store. There is no word on whether or not the Steam version of the game will be removed but looking at how Epic handles exclusivity it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Rocket League leave Steam.
Besides the mention of the Epic Games Store transition nothing else is truly revealed besides the mention that Psyonix now how the full support of Epic Games behind them and that the acquisition closes “…near the end of May to early June 2019.”
