The new year has begun with lots of rumors about upcoming games from Microsoft. Everything from a new open world RPG game in the Fable universe to some sort of project involving Banjo have made the news. It’s time to add to the speculation with a new tidbit of information. For months now we have known that Studio Gobo was contracted to develop a game for Microsoft but we weren’t sure if it was being produced by Studio Gobo itself or its subsidiary, Electric Square. Now it appears that Electric Square is indeed developing the Xbox game for Microsoft.
A tweet from X-VLOG shows a screenshot of a developer’s online resumé. Have a look for yourself:

One of the developer’s more recent projects involved developing an in-game player messaging system and user interface systems for an “unannounced project” based on a globally recognised IP for Microsoft Studios. This particular developer is also experienced working with both Unity and Unreal Engine technologies.
If this is true the it looks like Studio Gobo is producing a game for Ubisoft.
No other details as of yet regarding the Electric Square game but we will be sure to update you as soon as we find out.
