Dreams Beta Finally Confirmed, Dropping December 19th

Dreams, Media Molecule’s ambitious PlayStation 4-exclusive game-making game, has had an interesting development cycle. First revealed back at PlayStation Meeting 2013, it was originally supposed to have a beta in 2016. This was delayed to 2017, then to 2018. Finally, as the year is wrapping up, the Dreams beta finally has a confirmed release date and is dropping tomorrow, on December 19th, 2018.

The beta date was announced during the most recent Media Molecule livestream, and beta codes will be going out to anyone signed up to the Media Molecule newsletter. If you aren’t currently signed up, you can sign up right here. The Dreams beta does not require PlayStation Plus. The beta will run from December 19th, 2018 to January 21st, 2019.

The Dreams open beta, which will not require signing up to the newsletter, will be available next year sometime in January.

Shawn Layden, Chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios, has stated that Dreams is part of Sony’s 2019 lineup alongside Days Gone. When more information about an official release date is announced, we’ll be sure to let you know.
