The aptly named Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition will be released on April 12th for $19.99 USD according to a new trailer from Klei Entertainment. Check out the trailer for yourself:
This edition includes Don’t Starve along with the Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked expansions. Sadly, the co-op expansion, Don’t Starve Together does not appear to be included in this edition.
Don’t Starve puts you in the role of a scientist named Wilson (and several other characters) who must gather resources, build shelter, find food to eat, fend off monsters and try not to lose their minds in a land that is wonderfully depicted as something that might have come out of a children’s monster tale. The open world survival game was originally launched to critical acclaim almost five years ago on PC, Mac and Linux computers. It would eventually make its way to PlayStation, Xbox and Wii U systems. It was the first survival game from Klei Entertainment who was heavily inspired by Minecraft.
