Quite a few gamers have been waiting patiently for news of when they’d get to play the latest game from Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human. Wonder no longer, as David Cage, founder and CEO of Quantic Dream, took to PlayStation Blog to confirm the Detroit: Become Human release date. You’ll be playing this tale of three androids on May 25th, 2018. This means it will be dropping just over a month after God of War releases.
David Cage’s closing remarks, regarding the release date announcement:Â
With Detroit, Quantic Dream presents its most accomplished experience, a spectacular and unexpected journey full of emotions, twists and turns, dangers and hope, in the most bending story we have ever created – where every choice matters.
We hope you see Detroit as a unique experience that echoes some of the challenges our world faces, and maybe it even resonates with your own personal life. More than anything, we hope that Detroit will leave an impression on you, and that you will remember for a long time the story of these three androids who wanted to be free…
Here’s the official boxart, which I’ll freely admit I’m not a fan of:
It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out. Detroit: Become Human definitely seems to be the studio’s most ambitious title to date. On the other hand, their last title, Beyond: Two Souls, was divisive in its reception, to say the least. Regardless, with games like Sea of Thieves, God of War and now Detroit: Become Human all releasing in the months to come, it’s a great time to be gaming, as there’s sure to be something for everyone.
