Red Hook Studios talked to PC Gamer about the announcement, giving them some information on what is coming to this sequel and what players can expect. According to the interview, Red Hook Studios is expanding in order to aid the development of the game, having grown to 14 developers and looking to hire another half-dozen, a far cry from the five who developed the original game.
They also talked about the setting for the new game, saying: In Darkest Dungeon 2, we’re giving players a glimpse of the supernatural apocalypse twisting and distorting the world beyond the estate… and that’s all we’re going to say about that for now.
