The developers of Cuphead, Studio MDHR, has announced that the highly regarded action game has already sold over one million copies.

Cuphead was released on September 29th meaning it has taken about two weeks for the game to go platinum. The developers did not provide a detailed sales breakdown but Steamspy estimates over 500,000 copies sold on Steam so it is likely that a similar amount was sold on Xbox One/Windows 10.
Cuphead is a run-and-gun indie game with art design inspired by Fleischer Studios and Walt Disney animation. The game was met with critical acclaim upon release. It is a console exclusive for Xbox One with PC versions available on Steam and Windows 10.
While the game is currently only available digitally, a physical release is coming for Xbox One according to the developers.
The sales success of Cuphead is welcome news to the developers who reportedly mortgaged their homes while working on the game.
