Masashi Kishimoto the creator of the Naruto has announced during Jump Festa that his latest work Samurai 8: Hachimaruden, will be launching in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Spring 2019. Kishimoto will partner with manga artist Akira Okubo on the series. Instead of handling all of the work himself, Kishimoto will handle the story while Akira will handle all of the artwork. We get a small glimpse of Samurai 8: Hachimaruden that you can check out below.
Back in December 2017 Kishimoto did hint at a new series and that it will focus more on science fiction so it’s nice to finally see what he has been working on. Although there wasn’t much information released regarding the new series, just the visuals alone have me excited for what’s to come.
