The critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will finally be released on Xbox One tomorrow and buying the game for that console could help real people who are struggling with mental health challenges.
Developer Ninja Theory will donate $25,000 USD to Mental Health America if 50,000 copies of the game are sold on Xbox One by April 18th. If 100,000 copies of the game are sold on Xbox One then the developer will donate $50,000 to Mental Health America.
The charitable donation announcement was made on Ninja Theory’s official Twitter account. You can see the tweet below:

Mental Health America is a nonprofit organization founded in 1909. According to their website, MHA is “dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of all Americans.” They have chapters in most states within North America who offer mental health screenings, resources for coping with mental health challenges and work with lawmakers to address policies for those with mental illnesses.
Ninja Theory will update us on their goal progress throughout the week. If you were thinking about picking up Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for Xbox One then hopefully helping out charity will make the decision a little easier.
