It’s the biggest year for superhero movies yet and Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse is almost upon us! Now, beginning the press tour for his latest blockbuster, Bryan Singer has given us new details regarding the younger iterations of Jean Gray and Scott Summers. It seems as though it’s not love at first sight for this famous comicbook pair and that Jean is not interested in Scott at the start of the film. The extract from Entertainment Weekly is below:
In the beginning, she’s the last thing he’s interested in. When he first comes to the mansion, Scott’s blind so he can’t see her. Suddenly he gets some glasses and now he can see her and he’s like ‘Oh! That’s Jean Grey.’ Both of them are misfits in a way. Other mutants have settled in with their powers. This is all new to Scott Summers and he doesn’t like it and he doesn’t like school. And Jean, she not only has her telekinesis and her telepathy, but she also knows inherently that something darker and more powerful is growing inside her and she doesn’t quite know what it is.
X-Men: Apocalypse will hit the big screen on May 19th in the UK and on May 29th in the US. Younger Jean Gray will be portrayed by actress Sophie Turner who is well known for her part as Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones. What do you want to see out of the younger X-Men?
