The people over at Psyonix have been regularly updating Rocket League ever since its launch last year and they’re not slowing down anytime soon! Their next major update is coming next week; this major includes a new basketball inspired game mode called Hoops.
Hoops adds a unique spin to Rocket League’s typical game play; this new mode will have players trying to score into basketball nets as opposed to soccer nets. The ball will not be able to go through the basketball net, but cars will so that players can try to block shots from within the net… Not how normal basketball is played, but it’ll be fun. The new game mode will be free for everyone who owns Rocket League.
However, there will be some paid DLC in the form of a special NBA flag pack. You’ll be able to choose a flag from all of the NBA’s various team to show who your root for; I feel there’s going to be a lot of Lakers flags flying in support of Kobe. The NBA flag pack will cost $1.99.
The Hoops DLC and the NBA flag pack will both launch on April 26 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
