Savvy gamers know that you do not need to wait for the holiday season to score some great deals on consoles, televisions and other high-tech goodies. Amazon Prime Day is coming and while the date for this year’s sales has not been officially announced, a leaked email suggests that Prime Day 2019 will be on July 15th. That date would make a lot of sense as the 15th falls on a Monday and historically Prime Day has typically begun between the 10th and 16th of July. You can expect the deals to last for 36 hours and possibly even two full days this time around. As the name of the day suggests, you will need an Amazon Prime subscription to take full advantage of the best deals. You can get Prime for a single month now so if you see something you really want for a good price it may behoove you to subscribe for thirty days if it means saving even more money in the long run.
What kind of deals can you expect for Amazon Prime Day? The sales seem to be mostly geared towards technology products. Expect deals on your favorite video game consoles – either a straight discount or bundled with extra goodies. You can be certain there will be some deals on 4K televisions albeit most of these will be on the lower end of the spectrum. You will also be able to add accessories such as wireless headphones to your shopping list.
There will be some big discounts on Amazon’s own electronics – especially Fire and Alexa devices. If you need a new Kindle or an Echo then you will definitely want to wait for Amazon Prime Day. Apple has historically offered discounts on a number of their products including iPhones and iPads. If you favor Android then you will be able to score an unlocked smartphone at a sweet price.
Don’t want to wait for Amazon to ship products to you? Competitors such as Best Buy and Walmart will almost certainly have their own specials to entice you.
