If you have spent the last few days collecting headshots in Call of Duty: Black Ops, you’re not alone. Amazon reported a sales spike of 13,000% which places the original Black Ops game between Uncharted 4 and Doom. Those are impressive numbers but maybe you are looking for more games to be added to the list of backwards compatible titles.
A handful of recent listings on the Amazon website suggest that there will be at least five more backwards compatible titles announced during the week of the 2016 E3 expo. The massive online retailer has listed several Xbox 360 titles for sale in the form of digital download codes and at least one of them featured a graphic stating that the game would be playable on Xbox One. Curiously, each game was being noted as available sometime in June of this year which strongly indicates that these codes are indeed intended to be sold as backeards compatible titles.
The list of games includes:
Burnout Revenge
Dragon Age II
Fable Anniversary
Fight Night Round 4
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Apparently both Crackdown 2 and Halo 3 ODST have also been spotted on Amazon as being backwards compatible.
You might have noticed that most of those listed games were published by Electronic Arts which may indicate another marketing partnership with Microsoft. At the very least some of these titles may be available in the EA Access Vault which will also be free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers during the week of E3.
The backwards compatibility feature on Xbox One was announced during Microsoft’s 2015 E3 press conference and allows for Xbox 360 games to be played on the newer Xbox One console. As of this writing the list of backwards compatible games is nearing 200 titles.
Are there any games you would like to see added to the list of backwards compatible titles? Let me know in the comments section.
