Titanfall 2 was finally shown off yesterday and EA is definitely revving up the hype train for it. They’ve already revealed two exciting bits of info about the game post-launch: all of the DLC maps and game modes will be free, as well as there being no pay-to-win features in the game. The former is a contrast to the original game which featured a season pass and paid DLC.
The head of development over at Respawn, David Wightman, had this to say about the DLC:
“We’ll definitely be supporting Titanfall 2 post-launch, and I can confirm all maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free. We’ll be talking more about post-launch plans closer to release so stay tuned for more info,” Wightman explained.”
He then goes on to say that he didn’t want any pay-to-win features in the game as he feels it’s cheap and ruins competitive play. So it seems like Titanfall 2 won’t fall into the trap of greed over balance.
Titanfall 2 launches on October 28 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
