Alan Wake Added Back on Steam, Xbox Version Coming Back Soon

In May 2017, Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake was de-listed from digital stores due to expired music licenses. Today, Remedy announced that Microsoft, the publisher for Alan Wake, had renegotiated the music license, seeing Alan Wake added back on Steam. Remedy also confirmed that Alan Wake would be added back on the Xbox Store shortly however, they did not give an exact date.

Remedy made the announcement via Twitter:

When asked when Alan Wake would be on Xbox again, Remedy said:

Microsoft Studios is the publisher for Alan Wake, so Microsoft had to renegotiate the license for the music in the game, which remains unchanged. We’ll give you an update when Alan Wake is added back on the Xbox Store as well.

An Alan Wake TV show is beginning development, so even if Alan Wake 2 isn’t coming, players are going to be getting more of the eponymous author.
